For the first time in India, experience mechanical watchmaking up close through an immersive three-hour journey into the movements, and mechanics behind the watch.
For generations, the world of watchmaking has existed behind the doors of Swiss manufactures and centuries-old workshops. It is a world of tiny springs, gears, and remarkable engineering that has fascinated collectors for decades, yet remained largely out of reach. Most people wear a mechanical watch without ever seeing the movement that powers it or understanding the craftsmanship hidden beneath the dial.
When we founded Bangalore Watch Company in 2018, we discovered something unexpected. People did not just want to buy our watches. They wanted to spend time with them. They wanted to know how a movement works, why a mechanical watch continues to matter in a digital age, and why watchmaking inspires such passion around the world. The more conversations we had, the more we realized that curiosity about watchmaking in India ran far deeper than we had imagined.
Over the years, we invited our customers into these conversations. They visited our studio, attended launches, and stayed back long after the events had ended, asking questions about movements, craftsmanship, and the stories behind our watches. We realized that while India had a growing community of collectors and enthusiasts, it had never truly had an immersive watchmaking experience.
The Watch Masterclass was created to change that. Hosted at our flagship boutique on Lavelle Road, it is our immersive three-hour journey into mechanical watchmaking. In intimate groups of four to six participants and led by our in-house watchmaker, movements are carefully disassembled and assembled again; questions are encouraged, and the world beneath the dial is brought to life. It is an experience usually associated with the great watchmaking capitals of the world, now found in the heart of Bangalore.
The Watch Masterclass began as intimate watchmaking sessions for our customers. Over the years, we hosted collector evenings, product launches, and small gatherings where conversations often lasted much longer than the events themselves. People wanted to understand movements, craftsmanship, and the engineering hidden beneath the dial.
The opening of our flagship boutique gave us an opportunity to take those experiences further. What started as an ownership experience has grown into something much larger — an immersive three-hour journey into mechanical watchmaking and, to our knowledge, the first experience of its kind by an Indian watch brand.
For the first time in India, experience watchmaking not as an observer, but from the watchmaker's bench itself.

At the centre of the Watch Masterclass is an experience that very few people ever get to have. Our immersive three-hour session takes guests inside a mechanical watch alongside our in-house watchmaker. Over the course of the session, a movement is carefully disassembled on the table, allowing participants to see, handle, and understand the components that keep a mechanical watch running.
As the movement comes apart, participants are introduced to the mainspring, gear train, escapement, and balance wheel. Some details are intentionally left for the experience itself, but what unfolds over three hours is, to our knowledge, the first immersive watchmaking experience of its kind by an Indian watch brand, bringing people closer to the craft of watchmaking than ever before.
