The pebble-shaped case brings the Peninsula Professional to a 44mm diameter, larger than a conventional watch. Going lugless keeps that pebble shape intact, without interruption from added hardware. It also has a practical effect. Reviewers and owners who've tried it on say the lugless design makes the watch wear smaller than its actual size on the wrist. This is why the Peninsula Professional skips lugs altogether, letting the case shape stay true to its pebble form. A superdome sapphire crystal adds to that rounded look, while the strap remains easy to switch out whenever needed.
