One Small Hand, One Giant Story

The Mach 1 collection is our very own pilot watch inspired by Indian aviation. Every dial, every color, and every part of the build is designed to show the depth of the Indian Air Force and the broader aviation story.

From the Fin Flash at 9H to the afterburner-inspired crown. From the flieger-style dial layouts to the white, snow-covered terrain of the Avalanche. The pink silk texture of the Silk Scarf dial honors women in aviation. The grey hull color of the Admiral is built from the steel of INS Vikrant itself. The Synchro's diamond-shaped formation at 9H tributes the Suryakiran aerobatic team. The Officer’s Blue gets its tone from the crisp summer blues worn by Air Force officers. And of course, the flieger A and B dials stay true to the classic aviation styles in civilian and aviator.

And we don’t stop at the dial. Every story continues on the caseback, where the details of missions, aircraft, or design inspirations are carried through. We believe the back of the watch should say just as much as the front.

But today, we want to draw your attention to something easy to overlook, the hands.

Red and White. Just Like the Airspeed Gauge.

In every Indian Air Force aircraft, there’s a gauge that every pilot keeps an eye on, the airspeed indicator. It’s marked with red and white striped needles that move with speed and precision. That hand doesn’t just show how fast you’re flying, it informs every decision in the air. Go too slow, you stall. Go too fast, and you risk the aircraft itself.

That same red-and-white pattern lives on in the Mach 1’s minute hand. Look at the Avalanche or the Synchro, and you’ll see it instantly. Not just a nod to aviation, but a direct pull from it.

In a helicopter flying over Siachen, a pilot once told that the airspeed indicator was his most-watched gauge. "Altitude gives you time," he said, "but speed keeps you alive." That line stuck with us. It shows why this one detail matters so much.

The Second Hand: A Silent Limit

The second hand is just as deliberate. Look at the Mach 1 again. See the bold red triangle at its tip? That’s not just a design flourish. It’s a reference to the “never exceed” red limit on an aircraft’s gauge, a zone you don’t want to enter. It’s there to remind pilots where the line is. The Mach 1 brings that same visual tension to the wrist, ticking away with purpose.

And then there’s the Admiral.

Blue at the Tip, at Sea

The Admiral’s seconds hand ends in a blue arrowhead. That blue? It’s not just a colour choice. It indicates the high seas protected by the aircraft carrier that inspired the watch. What's also interesting is the Attitude Indicator, the instrument that shows pilots whether the aircraft is level, climbing, or diving. The upper half of the indicator is always sky blue. It tells you where the sky is, even when the view outside is nothing but clouds or darkness. The same blue can be seen in the Admiral second hand tip.

And this isn’t just any watch. The Admiral is built using the steel from INS Vikrant, India’s first aircraft carrier. The blue tip on the seconds hand? It’s a quiet reminder of aviation at sea, where land is far, the deck is moving, and pilots take off and land in the middle of the ocean winds.

Nothing Random. Everything Considered.

That’s the thing about Mach 1 and every other collection, nothing is random. Every detail is thought through. We’re committed to giving our owners not just a great watch, but a piece of something bigger. From the smallest markers to the overall build, everything is designed with intention. And this philosophy carries across all our collections. After the pilot watch, we built Apogee, our space-qualified watch. Then came Cover Drive, inspired by cricket, the game we all grew up with. And now, Peninsula, a tribute to the landscapes and terrain of the Indian outdoors. If you’ve explored our collection of Indian watches, you already know: the more you look, the more there is to discover.
