India Today
The MACH 1 Collection is a tribute to India’s aviation, inspired by the MiG-21 Type 77 fighter jet. This fighter jet, introduced in 1963, was India’s first supersonic fighter and played a key role in the 1971 war. It was the mainstay of the Indian Air Force for 50 years until it was retired in 2013. With MACH 1, we wanted to create something that brings this story to life in a way people can carry with them.
In her article for India Today, Chandni Doulatramani described how the aviation watches collection is our way of honouring this chapter in India’s history. For us, this is more than just a collection; it’s a way to make the history of this aircraft and the people behind it accessible to anyone who values both Indian watches and aviation.
These watches let people connect with this story, especially those interested in pilot watches. Going forward, we want to keep making limited edition watches too that tell stories from India, creating something meaningful for those who wear them. Read the full story here.
