ESG World News covered the watch from the angle of material innovation and urban carbon emissions, looking at how recovered carbon black, sourced from industrial waste that would otherwise be incinerated, ends up compressed into a watch dial. The piece also highlights our collaboration with Carbon Craft and what it means for sustainability-focused material science to find its way into a precision consumer product.
For us, the Peninsula Carbon has always been a cultural statement, not a sustainability claim. But we are glad the story is finding its way into conversations beyond the watch industry.
