The Cornea Impression
The Cornea Impression recently featured the Peninsula Carbon, the latest addition to our Peninsula collection. Written by Kunaal Khemka, the piece explores how this fifth edition shifts the Peninsula story from India's natural landscapes to its cities and the carbon consequences they carry.
Khemka opens by placing the Peninsula Carbon in the context of the broader collection, noting how the earlier four models - Agumbe, Laccadive, Zanskar, and Mannar that celebrate India's rainforests, coastlines, mountains, and deep waters, while the Peninsula Carbon puts the spotlight on urban India.
Khemka concludes that while the Peninsula Carbon may do little on its own to influence policy or public mindset, it carries a meaningful reminder of the carbon footprint of modern cities.
At Bangalore Watch Company, our mission has always been to make watches that reflect modern India. With the Peninsula Carbon, we continue that tradition, this time turning our attention to cities and what they leave behind. As we have done with our aviation watch, cricket, and space collections, every design begins with a story worth telling. Read the full feature by The Cornea Impression here.
